Welcome

Dear Friends,

I want to welcome you to the web site of the New Jersey Laborers, the proud and progressive affiliate of the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA).  Our union dates back to over 100 years ago, but our ideas and operations are anything but old.  We pride ourselves on innovation and creativity, finding new ways to deliver success for our members and our signatory contractors.

We are a Union, and most of all, we value our responsibility in providing our fellow members the support they need to have a prosperous and meaningful career in the industries we represent.  We do this through strong representation but we also accomplish this through our nationally-regarded labor-management funds in training, health and safety, and business development.  We also succeed thanks to our active member engagement in political action and organizing.

Our Union continues to make a difference—to our members, to our contractor and development partners, and to the larger community.  The term “Laborer” once meant the most common of workers, but thanks to the hard work and dedication of our members, we have helped transform an ordinary career as a laborer to an extraordinary versatile and productive skilled craft.  We are proud to be Laborers.

Sincerely,

Raymond M. Pocino
Vice President and
Eastern Regional Manager
