About Laborers Local 472

Established in 1932, Heavy and General Construction Laborers Local 472 serves 12 counties in Northern New Jersey, providing our signatory contractors with a skilled, safe, and highly trained workforce. We are one of the unions primarily involved in the heavy construction of infrastructure like highways, bridges, tunnels, sewers, and pipelines. Our 7,000-plus member local is an affiliate of the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA), one of the most progressive and aggressive unions operating today.
