Our Work

 

LIUNA members work in various industries throughout the state for more than one thousand employers. We take pride in providing a safe, well-trained and productive workforce to our employers.

Building Construction

LIUNA members practice a variety of skills essential to building skyscrapers, schools, hospitals, shopping malls and other structures. With nine local unions operating statewide under the banner of the NJ Building Construction Laborers District Council, our Building Laborers provide the critical workforce to make projects successful.

Heavy Construction and Highway Construction

LIUNA members have the expertise needed to build roadways, bridges, tunnels, dams and other major construction projects. Heavy Construction Laborers also build and repair our nations utility infrastructure network.

Residential Construction

LIUNA members are strengthening communities through new home construction and residential renovations.

Energy Conservation/Green Technologies

LIUNA’s Local 55 was one of the nation’s first local union’s dedicated solely to energy conservation and green technologies.

Environmental Remediation

LIUNA members have the skills to perform all types of hazardous remediation and removal work.

Public Service

LIUNA members work in a variety of public service professions, from health care to public works to education.
