The New Jersey Laborers Union is the 20,000 member affiliate of the Laborers’ International Union of North America, the most progressive, aggressive and fastest-growing union of construction workers, public sector workers, and service workers. Our members serve throughout the Garden State. LIUNA was founded more than a century ago and its members are united through collective bargaining agreements which help us earn family-supporting pay, good benefits and the opportunity for advancement and better lives.
The New Jersey Laborers Union is proud of its innovate labor-management partnerships which work to create opportunities for employees and employers alike. Our nationally recognized economic development and marketing program, known as the Laborers’ – Employers’ Cooperation and Education Trust (LECET), adds value by providing the needed support to get projects launched, while our training and apprenticeship funds and our health and safety funds ensure those projects are done right. Working together works best and no one does it better than the LIUNA-Eastern Region.
Our Union is more than an organization; it is part of a movement that believes men and women need a voice in the workplace LIUNA-Eastern Region started the International’s first regional organizing fund, LEROF, which through active and involved membership brings union representation to workers in our jurisdiction. Our political action programs identify and support public officials who support unions and working families.
In everything we do–on the job, in boardrooms and classrooms, and on the streets, we succeed because of our most valuable asset — our members.
