Our Union

LIUNA—the Laborers’ International Union of North America—is the most progressive, aggressive and fastest-growing union today. Our more than 20,000 members in New Jersey are united through collective bargaining and committed to securing the good wages, benefits, and safe and just workplace they so richly deserve.

LIUNA members are committed to creating partnerships that work and have established nationally-recognized labor-management funds to promote a skilled and productive workforce, create a safe and healthy work environment, and work collaboratively with project owners, contractors, and government officials to promote the union construction industry and encourage economic development.

LIUNA members live in every county, every community in New Jersey and go to work in various industries and sectors, mostly related to construction, but also in the service sector, manufacturing, and education.
